COMIXPLOSION 2020 “For the Fandom” Announcement

Movie Jabber’s Comixplosion is a fan event for lovers of comic books, and comic book related entertainment. This year’s event goes down on Sunday May 31, a day before Madaraka Day (a public holiday) here in Kenya.

• Venue: Michael Joseph Centre, Waiyaki Way
• Time: 12noon – 7pm
• Ticket: To Be Announced

Any currently missing info will soon be announced, alongside ticket sales going live. In the meanwhile, here’s just a bit of what you can expect from this year’s edition:

• Comic books & graphic novels: From local comic books to DC, Marvel, Dark Horse Comics, Image Comics and more!
• Movie Jabber Upfront: a special look at our entire calendar for the year 2020 alongside exclusive announcements and reveals that will not be shared online after the event. Goosebumps yet?
• Fan trivia, games & prizes: taking some learning lessons from feedback from fans such as yourselves, this year’s edition will be more interactive and fun. So better brush up on your fandom!
• Kenyan comic book artists: come meet and purchase content from homegrown talent as well as get your hands on exclusive collectibles.
• Vibonzo: something exciting is in the works, and they will reveal it all at Comixplosion 2020.
• Cosplay Showcase: there’s no better expression of fandom than cosplay!
• Shorts: a segment where we screen a few submitted and selected superhero and/or fast paced science-fiction based original content. Call for submissions happening soon.
• Merch & collectibles: from local to international merch, your bank account is doing reps just to get ready.
• Plus a few other surprises…
