MJX2016 Highlights, Everything was Awesome!

The inaugural Movie Expo 2016 (#MX2016) showcased the exciting releases of 2016 and the world of popular culture birthed from movies.  Attendees got a special and interactive look at some of this year’s mammoth releases such as BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, WARCRAFT, and SUICIDE SQUAD just to name a few.

The highly anticipated team-up of global iconic characters Superman and Batman in the movie BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE was the Main Feature at MX2016, capped off by an exclusive look at a very special DC Films Presentation, courtesy of Warner Bros. Pictures.

“Fly” into the World of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” with Turkish Airlines

You wouldn’t be able to find Batman v Superman fans in greater numbers anywhere else other than at MX2016! Fitting so that Turkish Airlines, the film’s official global airline partner, took the opportunity to launch their localized #FlyToGothamKE and #FlyToMetropolisKE global campaign in Kenya that would allow fans here in Kenya a chance to “fly” to either the renewed Gotham City or the bustling city of Metropolis:

“Turkish Airlines announced its partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures on the highly anticipated action adventure film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In the movie, a pivotal scene unfolds aboard a 777 Turkish Airlines plane. Outside the movie, Turkish Airlines is unveiling innovative movie-themed experiences that give fans around the world an inside look into the world of the iconic Super Heroes facing off for the first time on the big screen when the film comes to cinemas worldwide beginning March 25, 2016.”

Turkish Airlines went to to grab further bragging rights by sponsoring the Advance Screening of Batman v  Superman at Century Cinemax Junction on Wednesday March 23, two days before the global release date!

MX2016 also provided an interactive and promotional platform for exhibitors specializing in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, gaming and toys to showcase their products and services.  No pop culture event is complete without Cosplay!   The day ended well with the first ever Cosplay Tournament that saw four brave and passionate contestants battle it out with the winner walking away with a juicy cash prize bounty and spending voucher courtesy of Movie Jabber and Between the Lines.
