SCARY MOVIE 5 | Trailer, New Images and Madea

Film parodies or spoofs just don’t seem to pack the punch as they used to before. Scary Movie franchise started off well, and some might argue set the pace for that genre of films. But somewhere along they line, even that franchise staggered, stumbled and scared the rave reviews and in return financial bonus away… But common to Hollywood, it’s never too late or impossible to kick some life into a franchise when you have the option of a sequel or reboot, or even a merger of both. This brings us to Scary Movie 5

Well, there may be new faces but the gags are the same.  The pacing is a tad faster in the trailer than the usual Scary Movie franchise trailers.  Bloody Disgusting has it that the movies being spoofed are the following; Black Swan, Paranormal Activity, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and 127 Hours.  The humor may feel and look outdated, but maybe, just maybe there is still a crowd out there for this film and franchise, granted they make it worthwhile and the gags are worth it of course.
