The world of comic books and superheroes is proving to be a success (when done right) onscreen; whether the big screen or small screen. The Dark Knight Trilogy and The Avengers prove that the world is for the taken when such material is done well, and on the small screen the 10 year run of Smallville stands head and shoulders above many. Could Arrow be heading down that route perhaps…?
The first successful season of DC Comic’s TV interpretation of the Emerald Archer left no doubt that there would be a season 2, and that season is almost upon us in two weeks, October 9th to be exact. It will be interesting to see what path the series takes in season two, with certain quarters complaining about the toned down story and cliches, but all that seem to be sidelined at the moment as we get awed and teased by promo images, speaking of which… naked men anyone? Ladies?
Yes, less clothes does alot for marketing doesn’t it 😉 Here’s the series official season 2 synopsis:
Plot: “FROM VIGILANTE TO HERO — Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) travel to Lian Yu in search of Oliver (Stephen Amell) who left Starling City after The Undertaking. Convinced to return home, Oliver finds that things are in worse shape than he thought – Isabel Rochev (guest star Summer Glau) is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, Thea (Willa Holland) refuses to visit Moira (Susanna Thompson) in jail, Roy (Colton Haynes) is trying to fill the void left by the Arrow’s absence, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is working with the District Attorney’s office to take down the vigilante. Meanwhile, flashbacks to the island show Slade (Manu Bennett), Shado (guest star Celina Jade) and Oliver in a desperate situation.” via Screenrant
Onto the rest of the evenly clothed promo images:
Arrow premiers October 9th.

Movie Posters Taken Literally
Someone must have askedMumbai-based designer Danish Ahmed what would happen if recent Hollywood releases were reimagined quite literally? Specifically when it comes to promotional posters…
Here is the result of what was most likely an interesting thought process. Click on the thumbnails for larger view.
