Here’s a wrap up of bits of pieces of TV news and some movie images that are dying for your attention 😉

Dreamworks

It may seem pretty easy, making a production right? What’s so difficult about taking a proven fan-favorite character or characters and making something out of them for the masses to enjoy and give you money for? From a fan’s point of view, nothing difficult!:-)  BUT on the other side of the table, the ‘powers that be’ have to think and negotiate through budgets and rights…

Dreamworks Animation have spent $150 Million in purchasing the rights to certain well known and classic characters: Casper the Friendly GhostDick TracyHe-Man,ArchieVoltronGumbyFelix the CatVeggie TalesLassieWhere’s Waldo and the Lone Ranger.  Yes, if you’re as old as i am i.e. born in the 80s, you remember them!  Classic Media is a company that originally owns the rights to all those characters and it was grabbed up to.  Whether or not it means there will be an immediate production or re-emergence of those characters, we don’t know.  Guess we’re left with nothing but hope and anticipation for now… 😉

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

CGI, 3D, IMAX, you can’t have a meaningful production based conversation and argument these days without dropping any or all of those terms.   It seems that every retelling/reboot/ or adaptation OR sequel has to have one of those terms appearing in it’s official synopsis to sort of add weight to it and win appeal. Maybe?  Case in point, Nickelodeaon’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CGI series. Have a look…

AND the theme song, pretty cool i’d say

Well, change is rarely accepted. Especially when we’re talking about beloved movies/series.  This may take time to grow on me, if it does…
