THE FLASH | Casting Confirmed

There was some ‘glee’ at the announcement of the actor cast to play the Flash in season two of hit series Arrow… and that’s because the actor confirmed (after days of speculation) is one actor who has had to have a guest appearance on the popular musical show Glee;  Grant Gustin.

Grant Gustin will appear in three episodes of the soon-to-premier season 2 of Arrow. The episodes will usher in a back-door pilot to what most fans hope to be a successful spin-off into a solo series for our super fleet-footed hero in red.  Here’s what the actor had to say regarding his casting announcement:

“I’m unbelievably excited. I’ve been a lifelong fan of DC Comics, so I can’t be more honored and can’t wait to get started.”

“…Unlike Oliver’s gadget-based vigilantism, Barry Allen has a pretty clear-cut superpower and Arrow‘s producers have said that he is going to be just as extraordinary in the show as he is in the comics. Allen will be introduced as an ordinary forensic scientist and will presumably get his powers by the end of season 3…” via Screenrant
