Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges Hunt Down the Undead in R.I.P.D Trailer

Everyone (if not a good number of people 😉 ) loves a GOOD comic book adaptation. ‘Good’ meaning translated quite well onto the big screen. In a time when Hollywood doesn’t seem to tire of looking for comic book story-lines and characters to splash onscreen, it’s no surprise that the following upcoming film, helmed by Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges as undead cops titled R.I.P.D is based off a comic book…

Plot Summary: “Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds headline the 3D supernatural action-adventure R.I.P.D. as two cops dispatched by the otherworldly Rest In Peace Department to protect and serve the living from an increasingly destructive array of souls who refuse to move peacefully to the other side.“

First impressions, the first comparison that comes to mind is Men in Black, done to most of the details; from the pairing, to the plot. Only difference is they are not fighting ‘the scum of the universe’, rather the undead. With that in mind, throw in Ghostbusters and Hellboy too!  All in all, Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds and the fun ride offered look good enough to make this tempting enough to catch big screen.
