Adding to that excitement, we are pleased to announce that ‘’Otamatsuri 2024’’ has partnered with Pulse Live Kenya, to be our exclusive digital media partner throughout the entire promotional period, and on event day as well.

Pulse Live Kenya has built a robust online presence across all platforms that are beloved by young people, and their foray into anime marks the first time a media entity of its size in Kenya and East Africa has embraced the wonderful world of otakus.

Speaking on the partnership, Regional Director – Pulse Kenya & Uganda Jackson Owigar commented “Noting the ever-growing gaming, anime & pop culture community in Kenya, we looked for a like-minded partner who is within this space that we could come together and tell this story and elevate the experience around this community and there was no better partner out there in my opinion than Movie Jabber.”

‘’Pulse Live Kenya has been a friend for quite a while.  Their youthful team, content innovation and massive reach is a crucial ingredient we believe will help make this year’s Otamatsuri all the more rewarding for the anime fans in the country,’’ said Jotham Micah, Otamatsuri Co-Founder and Business Development Manager at Movie Jabber.

Fellow Otamatsuri Co-Founder Harto Muhato gave his sentiments as well, ‘’Really happy to have Pulse Live Kenya onboard.  Them believing in what we are building and in the future of not just the digital space, but event scene as a whole was a common ground that just made this partnership the next step.’’  Harto Muhato also serves as Founder and Director at The Tsunami Studio, a production media studio that offers animation, illustration, dance, film, and sound services.

‘’Given my long history with Pulse Live Kenya, I am just happy to meet with them again, and work with them, but this time on something that everyone else is sleeping on: anime!’’ said Brian Whitney, Otamatsuri Co-Founder.

The partnership between ‘’Otamatsuri 2024’’ and Pulse Live Kenya will see anime themed co-created content shared across both platforms, in a bid to draw in a new audience, as the road to Otamatsuri 2024 intensifies with over just a month to go.

Otamatsuri is a multi-entertainment convention for the youth, featuring entertainment, content and experiences from the world of anime, manga, music, movies, TV shows, merchandise and more!  This year’s edition will happen on Saturday August 31, at The Dome (A.S.K. Jamhuri Showground) Ngong Road.

The event will also feature various fan event categories such as cosplay tournaments, video game tournaments, stage performances, vendors, food and more.  Otamatsuri is co-owned and managed by Movie Jabber and Tsunami Studio.
