Trailers, trailers… we just can’t do without them! regardless of what side of the fence you stand when it comes to that subject matter. Here’s a roundup of the latest:

Pompeii

Popularly known as Jon Snow the bastard of the Stark household in HBO’s gripping series Game of Thrones,  Kit Harington steps out into a more glorious (and ripped role) as Milo, a  Celtic gladiator in the new film from the director of Resident Evil and The Three Musketeers, Paul W.S. Anderson titled Pompeii…

Plot: “Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city’s coliseum.”

Other Cast:  Kiefer Sutherland, Jared Harris, Carrie-Anne Moss, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Jessica Lucas, and Paz Vega.

Parkland

From ‘bastards’ becoming gladiators, we sombre up for a film that focuses on the tragedy that was the assassination of John F. Kennedy…

The cast assembles is impressive alright, to name a few: Marcia Gay Harden, Zac Efron, Billy Bob Thornton, Tom Welling, Ron Livingston and Paul Giamatti.  And yes, just to emphasize, Tom Welling (Smallville) is in it.  With such a cast, and previously told story, first time director Peter Landesman may be feeling the pressure to deliver. Let’s hope he doesn’t need somebody to save him… 😉
