Let’s Play Pretend

The first for today, Let’s Play Pretend is a Kenyan student film, specifically from Moi University, an entry into this year’s 2013 Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festival.  The cinematography looks good, and the creative mesh-up of shots dos serve to add energy to this early preview. Only issue is that you can’t quite make out the storyline or what exactly is the lead character trying to let go? Whether that was the intention or an slight overlook, you be the judge:

Plot Summary: An amazing short film about a girl trying to let go. It is Moi University’s official film entry at the 2013 Kenya Schools and Colleges Drama Festival. Done Primarily by Moi University students. We Collaborated with the Department of Literature Theater and Film in an attempt to showcase and highlight the talent in our universities!

Now You See Me

If you’re a fan of crime-thrillers, trying to unravel the mystery or see through the ‘sleight-of-hand’ as the story progresses, then this year’s Now You See Me looks to be just that:

Elysium

From the director of District 9 (which if you haven’t watched, you really need to0) comes quite a similar project, in a way, with some obvious undertones… Only difference is that this time round, director Neill Blomkamp has a heavyweight star attached to this promising work, Matt Damon:
