EAST AFRICA BOX OFFICE | The Avengers Rule, Furious 7 Still Holding Strong
As expected The Avengers: Age of Ultron Review opened to big numbers worldwide and locally in East Africa. The long weekend due to the Labor Day celebrations on May 1 was reason enough to propel the audience to cinemas to witness the second instalment after the record shattering The Avengers (2012). The film is expected to hold strong at the Box Office quite probably till Tom Hardy’s Mad Max: Fury Road (May 15)comes barging in.
Furious 7 holds the record for the biggest cinematic opening so far in both East and West Africa, but Dom and his crew were no match for Captain America and his crew, (especially when they have the Hulk) slipping down to number two. Late release in our region, Paddington comes in at number 3, providing a good alternative for those not wanting the adrenaline rush that the top two release offer.
We will let the numbers below speak for themselves 😉
