Our first #TeamJabberXperience aka #TJX of 2013 was a success! Thank you very much to all who turned up and made it what it was 🙂  We did finally give away the poster we promised to put up for grabs on that day and you’ll have to watch the video below to find out who won it plus all the highlights 😉

Django Unchained is a good film. Granted it had its fair share of blood, violence and profane language but hey! This is a Quentin Tarantino film. Not expecting any of the previously mentioned aspects is like expecting a dog not to bark. Strange.  The film’s main strengths are its dialogue; witty, fresh and sharp.   The cast and their acting; you love whom you’re supposed to love, you pity who you’re supposed to pity, you loathe who you’re supposed to loathe…  The humor and gripping representation of the dark realities of slavery hit home.  In essence, Tarantino in this film, has found a way to make every single feeling hit home.  Probably the only negative would be the fact that it is slightly unnecessarily long, just a tad bit. Other than that, it’s a great way to start 2013 at the Cinemas.   The surround sound and gigantic screen totally immerse you in it, allowing you to better appreciate the work, art and style of Django Unchained.

We rate it a combined 8.5/10
