DIANA | Princess Diana Biopic Release Date Set

After the BANG! BOOM! and SPLAT! of a CGI-infested, viral marketing oriented blockbuster/summer season in the film industry, this is the time when films with Oscar aspirations start slowly getting churned out, case in point Lee Daniels’ The Butler which is doing quite well at the Box Office at the moment.  Another film that has its eyes set on Oscar gold is one biopic that looks to capture the essence of princess Diana’s life before her death, Diana

Director Oliver Hirschbiegel’s film hasn’t been doing much marketing as such (so you could be forgiven for wondering why a film focusing on one lady whose heart touched many hasn’t been getting much attention), but we do have a release date!  November 1st 2013 in select theaters/limited release.

Plot: “Written by playwright Stephen Jeffreys, the film is based on the book Diana: Her Last Love by Kate Snell and chronicles the last two years of Diana’s life, including her divorce from Prince Charles and untimely death in 1997.” via Screenrant
