Well, Sony rebooring Spiderman (and choosing to shelf Tobey Maguire as good ol’d Spidey) wasn’t met with good news when the news hit the information network.  As i said before, i was skeptical at first. but after the recent trailers, TV spots, clips and pics showing a dark, realistic yet witty Spiderman, i am sold! Cant’t wait to see Marc Webb’s ‘spin’ on Spidey, Andrew Garfield (looking more and more like a genuine Peter Parker in the promotional images) and Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy…

#Avengers Sequel

In just two weeks, ‘The Avengers‘ has raked in $700 Million worldwide, and in it’s opening weekend on home-turf (USA) it raked in more than $200 Million from the 4th – 6th of May, 2012. Yes Disney and Marvel sure are smiling 🙂 The first Marvel production to be marketed and distributed by Disney and WHAM! Anyways, with those figures in mind… a sequel is on the way! But we’re gonna have to wait, maybe 3-4 years in my estimation.  Why? Well, they do have to focus on the major individual characters that make up The Avenegrs; Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, and lay more of a foundation as they did in the build-up towards ‘The Avengers’.  Here’s what i am talking about:

“The film’s successful debut comes a month after Marvel and Disney announced that a sequel to 2011′s Captain America: The First Avenger will be released April 4, 2014. A sequel to last summer’s Thor is scheduled for release November 15, 2013, and the third installment of the hit Iron Man series, which has earned over $1.2 billion worldwide, will arrive in theaters May 3, 2013.” – Comics-x-aminer.com

If you’re in Kenya and haven’t watched it yet and are waiting for it on DVD, you’re gonna have a looooong wait simply because it’s doing really well BIG SCREEN and won’t hit the streets any time soon.  Go watch it BIG SCREEN! IMAX does it justice, trust me, i went 🙂

Where has Matthew McConaughey been? Well you can catch him ‘Magic Mike’ later on this year, a film starring Channing Tatum who plays a male stripper…  AND in this new flick titled ‘Killer Joe’.

Synopsis: “Killer Joe is based on the play by Pulitzer Prize-winner Tracy Letts (who also penned the script), wherein a young man named Chris Smith (Emile Hirsch) conspires with his father Ansel (Thomas Hayden Church) and sister Dottie (Juno Temple) to kill his mother, so as to use her life insurance policy to pay off a debt to a local Texan drug lord.
