‘Beware The Batman’ Cartoon Series

In my humble opinion, the 90s spawned the best cartoon series in the super-hero genre: Superman the Animated Series and Batman.  Years down the line, both characters, more so Batman, have to appear in several cartoon adaptations each with a different feel to them, case in point ‘The Batman’, and ‘Batman: The Brave and the Bold’.  To cut a long story short, the new Batman series is set to be more different than the others and may just test the acceptance of die-hard Batman fans who grew up watching those cartoon series mostly cause of the look and some story elements.  Read the summary below…

[ A cool, new take on the classic Dark Knight franchise, ‘Beware the Batman’ incorporates Batman’s core characters with a rogues gallery of new villains not previously seen in animated form.

Along with backup from ex-secret agent Alfred and lethal swordstress Katana, the Dark Knight faces the twisted machinations of Gotham City’s criminal underworld led by the likes of Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad and Magpie.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, this action-packed detective thriller deftly redefines what we have come to know as a “Batman show.” Featuring cutting-edge CGI visuals to match the intricate twists and turns of the narrative, Batman steps out of the shadows and into the spotlight for an entirely new generation of fans.

With WBA’s Sam Register executive producing, and Batman Beyond’s Glen Murakami and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated’s Mitch Watson producing, Beware the Batman, based on characters from DC Comics, is coming soon to Cartoon Network! ] Summary courtesy of www.screenrant.com

Spiderman

Here’s a major awesome cool pic of The Amazing Spiderman.  As much as it comes out on July 3rd, 2012, we don’t mind (to an extent) the visually juicy treats we get along the way… 🙂

James Bond ‘Skyfall’

The Bond Franchise celebrates 50 years this year, and the latest cinematic entry to that franchise will be Skyfall later this year (towards the end, November 9th worldwide, and October 26th in the UK).  In our usual manner of digging and scavenging around the net for news, we came across a featurette of an on-set Danile Craig talking about the current ‘Skyfall’ shoot, being James Bond and whether or not his third time round will be his last, hmmm….

Watch it HERE 🙂

” In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.” Coming Soon

True Blood

Not to sound mean, but who still watches it?  Nothing leaves a bad taste in my mouth than when elements of the supernatural are mixed with soap elements.  With that in mind, ‘Vampire Diaries’ better not go down that route.  Thank God for ‘Supernatural’.  Back to ‘True Blood’, a 30s trailer for season 5 is out. Watch it HERE.

Dumb and Dumber 2…

We all loved the first one (i hope and you better! haha) and the prequel after that Dumb and ‘Dumber: When Harry met Floyd’ wasn’t exactly a bag of laughs in the intended way… Good news is, that prequel wasn’t done by the Farrelly Brothers, the filmmakers who brought us the original 1994 hit ‘Dumb and Dumber’, and the very same filmmakers who say that production on the sequel starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels is set to kick off this September.  If you ask me, all those parties involved do need that to kinda help their careers right now.  I am a huge Jim Carrey, but the last 5 years haven’t exactly been his best have they? My thoughts.
