SEPTEMBER | Cinema Releases in Kenya

Published

on

September babe! Ok, that aside, here’s the list of the films expected this month. Remember, the noise and roar of the summer blockbuster season is over, so expect more toned down, story and character based films, and some late summer released films (in the case of Kenya eg Now You See Me and Red 2) that premier in our region way after their earlier release in other parts of the world. Ok, let’s get on with the list:

Week One

Now You See Me
Director: Louis Leterrier
Stars: Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Mélanie Laurent, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Common, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman
Length: 115 Minutes
Genre: Crime, Heist, Mystery, Thriller

Boasting quite the cast, and at a modest budget of $75 Million (modest in comparison to the other $200 Million budget summer releases. Remember, this film was released early in summer), Now You See Me was met with some mkixed reviews from critics but went on to garner $300 Million at the Box Office and secure a sequel. Clearly, the viewers spoke big and loud with their wallets ith much love towards the film. Will it see the same reception in Kenya when it premiers? You decide. On our part we do say, if it’s worth it, support it! Go watch it in cinema 🙂
