#Beware the Batman

How many Batman cartoon series can you count off the top of your head? And movies? Point is, don’t we just love Batman?! 🙂 No jest intended by the way.  Here’s the teaser trailer of the upcoming new adaptation, the first of the Batman cartoon series to use some cool-advanced-computer-fancy-stuff graphics in it.  Although i must warn you fans, it comes out next year, yes 2013… 🙁

#G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation …

Well Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has curved quite the niche for himself as being able to pull off action and humor/family flicks.  Fine, given that many would argue he should stick to action flicks and ditch certain *SMH* runs as in ‘The Toothfairy’, we really don’t mind on this end (well not completely 😉 ) but we can’t deny his appeal, he seems to be able to draw quite the demographic from men to ladies, to adults to kids and even… Oompa-Loompas 😉

Well, he’s been slotted into G.I. Joe 2 to simply uplift the potential franchise and it’s no surprise that his character Roadblock has become quite the central figure in the movie’s marketing campaign.  We could go on and on, but the point is this; we have rounded up recent pics and TV spots from the said movie. Bruce Willis is also in it, YES! So they’ve gone all out in trying to make this one better than the first offering.  Speaking of Bruce, he’s in 3 other blockbusters-to-be this year 🙂 And still speaking of good ol’ Bruce…

#Bourne Legacy

Jeremy Renner has had 3 ‘secret agent’ roles within the last 10 months, and they were in ‘Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocal’ Hawkeye in ‘The Avengers’ and later on as a ‘Bourne-like’ agent in the Bourne Franchise ‘spinoff’ titled ‘Bourne Legacy’.  Here’s what the writer/director of the film, Tony Gilroy had to say about the film:

“Everything that happened before was not a dream. Everything that happened was completely real, but you thought you knew what was going on. You thought you were seeing the world, and this movie is telling you that there’s a much larger world, a much larger conspiracy beyond this. The events of the other three films are incredibly present, but they’re not really in this very much. What happens in ‘Ultimatum’ is really the spark that’s blowing open the door to this movie because the Jason Bourne story is exploding out into the public. Being impossible to conceal it any further is causing problems for this much larger conspiracy. ‘Ultimatum’ plays in the background of the very beginning of this film.” Courtesy of Screenrant.

The following pictures don’t reveal much but hey, better than nothing! Personally us Jabber peeps are fans of the Bourne Franchise, any attempts at keeping it alive despite the absence of Matt Damon will be greeted enthusiastically yet cautiously.  Make any sense?

#Byzantium

Any vampire flick is better than some certain flicks (no we are not talking about Twilight, why would you say that? 😉 )  Speaking of such here’s an amazing poster regarding one vampire flick titled ‘Byzantium’ plus its summary…

’ ’Byzantium’ is the story of a deadly pairing of a mother vampire, Clara (Gemma Arterton), and daughter, Eleanor (Saoirse Ronan). In addition to Arterton and Ronan, ‘Byzantium’ co-stars Sam Riley, Daniel Mays, Caleb Landry Jones, Uri Gavriel and Jeff Mash. Moira Buffini penned the script, adapting her own stage play. ‘Byzantium’ is Neil Jordan’s second vampire flick after the Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise-starring ‘Interview With the Vampire.’ Source: WestEnd Films.

Eleanor and Clara, two mysterious and penniless young women, flee the scene of a violent crime and arrive in a run-down coastal resort. They try to find money and refuge along the tawdry seafront and in the dilapidated hotels.

Clara, ever-practical, sells her body. She soon meets shy and lonely Noel, who provides a roof over their heads in his seedy guesthouse, Byzantium. Clara, always looking towards the future, turns it into a ‘pop-up’ brothel.

Meanwhile Eleanor, the eternal schoolgirl, meets Frank, a kindred spirit who unwittingly prompts her to tell the truth about her life. She tells him that Clara is her mother; yet Clara is only a few years older. She says that she was born in 1804; yet she is just sixteen. She confesses that she must drink human blood to stay alive – and so must her mother. In the small, quiet town, people start to die.

And the past that the girls have been running from for so long, finally catches up with them – with astonishing consequences.” — Courtesy Flicks and Bits
