Avengers Concept Art…

The Avengers was a success true. Now let’s move on 🙂 back in time though, to the production stages when, as usual per every big money production, detailed concept art of characters, locations and sequences had to be made.  Here are a some, pretty detailed and amazing concept art for The Avengers.  Seeing the art just makes you realize how much dedication went into that production and how rewarding it must be seeing the historical returns. Enjoy 🙂

Thanos’ lair and the impressive S.H.I.E.L.D Helicarrier were done by Nathan Schroeder, while Stark Towers and other sequences by Steve Jung.  Here’s what both artists had to say about their individual contribution and method: – “Avengers was my seventh Marvel film, counting the Xmen and Fantastic Four movies, and my first film working with Designer James Chinlund; but it was quite possibly the most enjoyable,” notes Nathan Schroeder’s official site. “James was very open to collaboration and eager to embrace 3D modeling technologies. This allowed us to refine the sets we were developing by moving around and viewing from many different angles. For the Director,” adds Schroeder, “this means that there’s not going to be just one sweet spot for the camera, but he can confidently move about and find many dynamic shots. This really paid off with the Helicarrier, which was a very satisfying model to develop, and an especially impressive set piece in the film.”
